Jennifer is a creative and experienced stylist with a passion for making her clients look and feel beautiful. Beginning her career in 2001, Jennifer quickly gained a loyal following in Atlanta before coming to Knoxville with her husband in 2008. She was given the honor not once, but twice, of being the featured stylist on TBS' Movie and a Makeover.  Jennifer believes that by consistently advancing her education she can give her clients the best experience with the greatest results possible. Her hard work recently resulted in becoming a Redken Certified Hair Colorist, a title given only to stylists who display advanced knowledge and impeccable technique during a test given in New York City. Jennifer is also a Certified Pureologist, Brazilian Blowout Certified and certified in the Coppola Keratin Treatment. Other educational endeavors have included attending the Redken Symposium in Las Vegas and an exclusive Master Stylist class in New York City with world renowned stylist Orlando Pita. She has also taken several advanced cutting and coloring classes taught by top stylists from Redken, Pureology and Karastase. Jennifer takes great pride in passing along all of this education to her clients, not only through advanced techniques and creative ideas, but also in home maintenance and styling tips. She is dedicated to giving each client thorough consultation, to ensure that each guest leaves with a look that compliments their features and suits their lifestyle.

Currently working on:

Becoming a Redken or Pureology educator by attending lots of classes and getting certified in everything possible!

Spends free time:

Hanging out with my husband and friends, watching movies, playing board games, and reading.

Mantra:

Laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live.

Things that make me laugh:

My husband! Cheesy jokes, friends and co-workers. I love to laugh so I try to surround myself with positive, funny people!

When did you know you wanted to do hair?

I grew up spending time with my mom's best friend who ran a salon out of her home. I was fascinated by the process and always cutting my Barbie's hair. My hairstylist in high school convinced me that I had an eye for cut and color and inspired me to become a stylist.

How would you describe your approach to doing hair?

I believe that a hair style should be fun, easy and fit your personality and lifestyle. I ask lots of questions in my consulation to get a feel of what would work best for me client. I also believe that it's important to educate my guests on how best to achieve their look.

What inspires your creativity?

I'm inspired by the personalities of my guests, fashion magazines, and classes I attend.

What advise would you give someone considering coloring their hair for the first time?

I always suggest starting off simple and doing a color that enhances their natural hair color, instead of covering it up.

How do you customize a hair color for each and every guest?

Every guest is different, so it's important to me to adapt colors and techniques to reflect their individuality.

What celebrity always has great hair?

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen- natural and earthy.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck- effortlessly chic and a GREAT blonde.

Katy Perry- simple yet striking cut and color.

How do you approach cutting hair?

A good consultation is crucial to discovering what the guest really wants. I like to work with the natural flow and fall of the hair so that the style is manageable at home. I always give my clients tips on styling techniques that can make life easier while still looking great!

Describe your personal style:

I like simple, classic clothes that I can add my own flair to, like a bold necklace or purse.
